Help I installed GB now I crackel

So my phone worked fine as a phone before GB. I installed GB two days ago and on 50% of my calls I have this terrible crackeling or popping noice every few seconds.

Anyone else getting this?
How can I fix without going to Verizon and throwing my phone at someone?

Aside from that it seems sweet. I left wifi, 4G and GPS on all day to day and am still at 47% after 8 hours off charger.

Incoming calls or out?

Out of 5 calls yesterday it did it on only the three incoming. I tried to experiment today but could not replicate the noise on incoming or outgoing.

I'm wondering if it might have been related to google voice. I believe both of the incoming calls were routed through it.

I had the same problem when I installed GummyCharged on my phone with GB. I thought it was an error in the OS somewhere. I went back to the stock platform and no problems.

GB just installed on my phone 5 minutes ago so I really hope I don't have that same problem again. It was extremely annoying.

Ok I just had my first phone call. My phone cracks every few seconds again. This sucks. It is painful to hold conversations it is so bad.. I have to hold the phone away from my ear.

Yes quite annoying.... especially since I never had the issue with froyo. Id rather not revert but there is no way I can use the phone like this.

That sucks. It seems to be on incoming calls only and was present on the leaked gb builds prior to the official ota. I was really hoping they got it sorted out. I would suggest we blanket vzw with emails about it otherwise it'll never get resolved.

I crackle and pop too. It has done it on one of the three incoming calls since the update and I haven't made any outgoing calls. It doesn't stop me from hearing anything but it is quite annoying. I'll probably either downgrade back to Froyo or dump the phone completely.

I've had three incoming calls this morning without problems. I'm hoping it stays that way. Keep everyone posted with any additional issues you may be having and/or you find solutions either on your own our through vzw.

Pretty sure this issue will not be resolved though. The developer community has not been able to track the source of the issue as far as I could tell when I kicked this phone to the curb 2 weeks ago. (couldnt be happier to be rid of it btw, lol)

I had called customer service about this. they said it could be a service (tower) issue. they suggested after a call with the crackle to dial ###. this will let the tech "wizards" to be able to look at the details of that particular call to diagnose to problem. Gonna jinx myself but since I rooted and running Humble 5.0 I havent had any crackling....for now.

I'm sorry, just had to. Reason: They had me do this for over 2 months and NOTHING came of it. Good luck though, maybe they'll actually do something for you.

You mean people use their phones to call people? No wai!!!

Basically this phone was a good money maker for both companies. Started with the data dropping and it's graduated to the crackle. It's a shame too, the screen is amazing.
Samsung has made me a strong customer of non-Samsung phones, the GN could turn into a super model and crap gold and I still wouldnt buy it.
