Special Notes
  • Consider this a beta quality build!
  • ROM now boots to fastboot after install to auto install kernel. Just press power when you get to fastboot and the install will begin. No longer need a PC to install.

High Priority Known Issues
  • Exchange not working! This is being researched. All other emails are working fine.
  • MMS Receive but not send! This is being researched.

Low Priority Known Issues
  • The initial set up screen is glitchy! You will need to bypass it by pressing home 3 or so times!
  • Cant get to Camera from Lockscreen
  • Status bar will FC on each reboot but comes back immediately
  • Dock Mode distorts lock screen
  • Minor blure flicker every once in a while. Very minor and not very frequent. May be driver related
  • Text in Status bar will go blurry for a microsecond then catch up. I think its related to the issue above... Very very minor.
  • Battery doesnt seem to be charging but it is. When you reboot the battery status updates correctly.
  • Data Arrows do not work. Data worksfine... Just the indicator arrows are broke.
  • You have to unlock the screen to answer a call. This is my all time favorite! Consider this a feature to avoid pocket answering :)

How to install
  • Place ROM on SD Card
  • Reboot to recovery
  • Wipe all data / Factory reset - Do not restore anything from back up. Do not ask in the thread if you can. You will be referred back to here!

  • Reboot
  • Profit!

how did u pull this off!? seriously looks amazing! looks like I'm going to have to root now!

It not only looks amazing, it works amazing. A few glitches here and there, but I haven't found anything that prevents this rom from being my main driver. Seriously, everything I need to work does so nicely. The only real glitch I've experienced is several force closes when backing out of some options from within the settings menu. But that doesn't actually prevent you from making any changes in setting. It's just more of a minor annoyance.

Great signal, GPS, wifi, and no problems making and receiving calls. All my apps seem to work just fine with the rom. And 400megs of free ram after boot. This is a lean, mean ice cream machine.

I'm simply floored by how quickly a de-sensed ICS rom with several working ASOP apps that is as stable and functional as this one is was produced. I guess that's what happens when people work together. Thanks so much to everyone involved and especially to Scott for all his hard work!!!

WOW!

Guess I'm flashing!

Sweet!

Lots of Diet Coke, curse words, worn USB ports, and of course the desire to make a cool ROM :D

Thank you... BUt just os you know this is NOT an AOSP ROM. I dont work with AOSP (but after this I might start, lol)

This is based 100% on Sense then I moved out some Sense Apps and Moved in some AOSP apps. Its a "hybrid" ROM

I Just updated posts #1 and #2 because of some issues found. Please review those posts before posting any issue. If yo uahve someting that is not on that list thow it in the pile so I can review.

Excited to try out this ROM, unfortunately ran into an issue. Kind of new to all this, hopefully someone can help...

Downloaded it, copied to my internal SD, rebooted into Amon Ra recovery. Did a wipe/factory restore in there, then flashed the zip. It said it installed and rebooted back to the fastboot screen.

Where I'm stuck is the instructions say:
Press Power to install the kernel / boot.img

I'm at the screen and BOOTLOADER is selected. When I hit the power button, it just changes it from saying FASTBOOT AC bootloader/reboot/reboot bootloader/power down to HBOOT fastboot/recovery/factory reset/clear storage/simlock/image crc. Nothing appears to happen as far as installing a kernel.

I tried selecting the reboot option anyway, which it does but then the phone never makes it past the white background HTC logo screen so clearly something didn't work right.

Any ideas where I'm going wrong?

Thanks,
Mike

I wanted to give this rom a go as well but can't even boot into recovery, I can boot into recovery using another ROM but this one gives me the red triangle and wont go into recovery. I am re-downloading it again and trying but has anyone else had these issues with this ROM?

Well, made some progress - it seemed like the issue was the kernel install so I extracted the boot.img out of the ROM zip and flashed it using CleanFLASH. That seems to work, phone now boots up and works!

Strange problem though - not getting any data for some reason. Verified I can join WiFi and that works, and phone/SMS works fine as well just not data. Not sure if that is a setting or what, or why it would be disabled if so.

The ROM has nothing to do with you being able to get to recovery. If you see the red triangle that means you dont have a custom recovery. I would suggest flashing amon ra.

Yeah, oddly enough... It is a setting. For whatever reasons... They decided to default the data to OFF. You have to turn it on and you will be good. Stragen huh?

I have Aron Ra but for some reason it isn't flashing right which I think it the whole problem. Not sure why this is happening now though. I must be missing something obvious.

Doh - was off by default for some reason and I couldn't initially find it in ICS, kept looking under mobile network settings. Its under settings -> data usage, had to enable mobile data. Now it works like a champ. Thanks!!

I have been at this for 2hrs now and Amon Ra will not flash, when I first rooted everything was nice and simple. I guess I have to start from scratch again and hope I can get this ROM and recovery figured out.

OK here is what I was "told" on XDA...

The very latest version of CWM will flash it... Older CWM will not...

The older version of AmonRA will flash no problem, Latest version will not.

I am currently using the older Amon Ra. The original version that is posted here: [Recovery] Amon Ra style vigor - xda-developers NOT the nwe version posted further into the thread.

Hope that helps you!

Yeah, you're right. Still an impressive feat nonetheless. Post edited.

One thing I confused about before flashing this... If I do a amon ra back up, what do I need to do to flash back to my previous rom? I need to flash the old boot.img?

Awesome job Scott.

Random observations:
I'm pretty sure that all of these issues have to do with the early build and not your work.

*My Phone feels warmer than normal after making VOIP calls with GrooveIP.
*Lock screen stuff: Pandora somehow decides it doesn't wanna play more songs if you manually lock the screen.
*More lock screen stuff: Some times I think I've locked the screen only to find it unlocked a few minutes later.
*Battery charger LED doesn't indicate full charge
