Hi all, new to touch screens etc.. loving my new Sony! But the one thing i don't like is when choosing a picture for my home screen, it only allows me to select a portion of it? My old Sony Ericsson Elm i have i've always been able to use the whole picture?

Can anyone explain how to display the full image rather then just say a head of a dragon, when i want the whole creature!

Many thanks,

Stralis.

p.s Quite handy in photoshop so altering/resizing images isn't a problem :)

Grab from the orange edges and expand the area. For best photos look for ones that are as big or bigger than 3600x1280 (five times wider than the display resolution)

Oh i know about the orange box, but i want it to select the whole image not just say the top part. It's strange, i can view the picture in full taking up the screen in gallery mode, yet it won't do it for the background home screen.

Example of one i have is 400 wide x 1183 high.

Just finding it rather annoying, as with non touch screen it was never a problem :(

I might now be understanding you wrong but you know you can touch the edges of that box and arrows pop up and you can expand the area? Because you have 5 home screens the area will be square. I honestly don't know if you can set the picture to stick and just the widgets pan when changing home screens but somehow I don't think you mean that.?

I have installed the free version of dodol which seems to be a good app but would be better if I could fix the two problems I am having.

When I select one portrait photo to have on my homescreen so that the picture does not move when I swipe to a different screen, I still get the orange box to crop a photo that I have taken with my phone's camera. A previous post said you don't have to do that with dodol, am I therefore doing something wrong?

And secondly, when I try to use stitch wallpaper, once I have chosen the five photo's I want to use and save the wallpaper, when I go to my homescreen I have one picture stretched across the five screens and the picture is not even a picture that I have on my phone so no idea where it's coming from. Is anyone else having problems with stitch wallpaper.
