i hope the update fixes motoprint! i can't print pdf's from either of 2 bionics. tech support cant figure it out. dont really have any other big issues with my phone

After more than several hours on the phone with moto techs, I figured out the problem. Emphasis on "I". sigh. that's almost always the case with thorny problems. geez, they should pay ME. I went through several verizon techs and a bunch of moto techs, including upper level support. I knew more about the phone, computers, windows, and THEIR OWN s/w then any of them knew. shame on them.

I was in the 5.9.902 soak test and I assume they handle them pretty much the same release after release.

In the 5.9.902 soak test I had to agree to a nondisclosure agreement that forbade me from discussing anything about the test in a public forum until 5.9.902 was released to the public. All communication was limited to a private discussion group dedicated to the test.

My guess is that if there is a 5.9.904 test in progress it is probably operating under the same conditions.

Oh and not sure it means anything, but after the 902 soak test I received a follow up survey. I actually took this just a couple weeks ago. In my response I said I was disappointed the update did not fix my data drop/hand off issue and had just experienced a whole day without data before I realized it was just me, and was about to trying swapping out the Sim card. I expressed my frustrations with the phone and how my feelings had changed and I could no longer recommend it.

Maybe that's why I was selected again???

I'm starting to wonder here... The leaked schedule showed 5/3 for initial push, and 5/5 for available pull, but Verizon hasn't updated the support site docs yet. That typically happens a day or 2 before.

The soak test e-mails went out a couple days ago, yet there is no information. Yes I know...NDA. But info always leaks.

This is looking like a delay...

We don't know what is being tested or if anything is being tested.

In the case of 5.9.902 the test lasted one day. My guess on that one was that they tried a new technique by sending 5.9.901 out to the people who reported problems so they had a pretty good idea that 5.9.902 would be OK.

The documentation for 5.9.902 and statement that you could download it was posted on the Verizon website 3.5 weeks after it was released and pushed.

There is insufficient information for a valid conclusion of the status of anything ... and always will be.

I watch updates for other phones that friends and family have. The Verizon support site docs were updated a couple of days before the last updates released for the Thunderbolt, Casio, and the Razr.

That is where I drew part of my idea from.

Let's face it. Information ALWAYS leaks somewhere, whether it be specs or pictures of an upcoming device, update information, or complete software. If this test is pulled off in complete "secret squirrel", the MOTO and Big Red will have accomplished something that NO ONE ELSE ever did.

I never believe leaked schedules. There are a few that turn out to be correct, but more often than not they turn out to be incorrect.
