Just received the battery today. I will post more soon.

first impressions
1) Battery door is a very solid and sturdy fit
2) Total height is approx 11 quarters
3) adds approx 9.55mm thickness
4) Battery weights 97 grams (FYI, OEM battery weights 50 grams)

Day 2: The included instructions said to charge the battery (in the phone) for 8-12 hrs. So I just finished that step and will report in tonight with some battery stats.

Day 3: 25 hrs on battery w/ 25% left (with moderate to heavy use throughout the day and night). I'm a true believer that this battery is the real deal. The extra thickness is a drawback but the way the battery door tapers does help some. I don't know how to test the NFC capabilities with the new battery door, maybe someone can tell me a way to do this. The inside to the battery door sure looks like it has the NFC hardware built in.

Day 4: 24 hrs since last charge with 68% battery left (low to moderate use).

No, it about doubles the weight of the battery. The phone goes from 178 g to 225 g (which isn't that noticeable IMO). However, the depth doubling could be an issue.

The only problem I have with this battery is that I'll lose the flip cover I currently have to protect my screen. I'm not ever going to put some plastic crap on my screen to protect it (it always amuses me to see people with their phones with all the bubbles on their screen....looks great...NOT.

I don't know how to test the NFC capabilities with the new battery door, maybe someone can tell me a way to do this. The inside to the battery door sure looks like it has the NFC hardware built in.

1. Get the NFC enable hack (or use a ROM that already has it enabled).
2. Find a NFC tag. If your car can sense whether or not the remote fob is in range it probably has NFC tags on the door insets and inside the trunk lid.
3. Download a random NFC tag reader app from the Market.
4. Try to read the tag.

mmmhhh, if you just want a phone, there are plenty out there with 1 week battery life. but the note is a phone, tablet, computer etc... you want a 5" screen, browser, apps and all the good stuff?

what's the big deal? i bought a spare battery (with charger) for about $25 and i have yet to run into trouble...

battery life will never be what it was 5 years ago, but you have a full on computer in your pocket - get real...

I absolutely LOVE this battery so far!

After initial 12-hour charge:

28+ Hours w/ Moderate to Heavy use - 4G+Wi-Fi on.

I personally like the fact that the phone is heavier and thicker. I felt like I was handling fine china when the phone was so thin and relatively light. I also feel like I could never get a secure grip on the phone. Now it's thick, easy to hold, and has a kickstand!

Consider me VERY impressed and happy!
