It includes a full Android emulator in the tools folder so u can see how it works

And the best part is I'm using the web browser on the emulator to post this very comment!!! XD

i am trying my hands on android 0.9 and i found the GUI pretty cool..

the development language is java that makes developers life pretty easy..

check the samples provided with SDK.. its really helpful..

JAVA easy??

I kid. I prefer C# or VB.Net.

I guess I'm going to have to learn JAVA, though. I downloaded the SDK, but it failed to install. I don't think I properly installed the Eclipse envrironment, though.

The emulator is A+ in my book.
But also, the environment that Google has created for Eclipse is top-notch, second to none really. If you've ever used eclipse you know that it's a great program to start with.
But Google really implemented their system well, and programming for Android (after you learn all the mumbo-jumbo of the API) is seemingly automatic. Lots of things are happening the background, and lots of the things are already done for you so it's not like you're developing from the ground up, aka notepad

Ok.
My environment:
windows xp x86(also have a crapy ubuntu notebook if its easyer on that?)
my issues are that "out of the box" the android emulator does not work. then i looked at the android site i need to have to do somthing whit a Phat under my computer>propertys.......... don that, still doesn`t work. and the .jar file in the main map gives me an error: Failed to load Main-Class manifest attribut from
c:\(and tis is the phat ware is it)

am i overlooking somthing or just doing it wrong?

Actually I think the mods moved my post cause it mentioned CyanogenMod but then the post lost its relevance so I deleted it.
