Can't read pdf files! HELP!

So I did download it but it's still not working. I tried downloading it on my computer to see maybe if it's the file and it was able to work.

Could it be the phone or does the note have trouble downloading pdf's?

If anybody would like to check for me, I can forward to you to see if it works on your note?

Yup! I'm positive it installed. I sent an email to my friend and he said he can view the pdf and he has an LG thrill.

I use the normal email app. I tried simply viewing it and downloading it. When I try to view it, it says: "The document path is not valid". And when I try to download it, it says: "Unable to save attachment to SD card"

I don't know what to do...

You have an SD card in your phone?

Three suggestions (not necessarily in the order presented):

First, have you tried the GMail app?

Second, do you have a file browser installed? You can navigate to the file location (or to your 'download' folder) and see if it's actually there. If so, then you can open it directly. Any of the following would work:

-Astro File Manager
-ES File Explorer
-File Manager

Third, can your friend send you a PDF file by email so that you can try that out and see if it's a global problem or just the one file?

As a side note, it doesn't usually take this much trouble to open a PDF file, and after you get things sorted out this first time it should be much easier subsequent times.

I do have an sd card in my phone.

I figured the reason why I can't download it is possibly because of the pdf file path my teacher is sending to me as. I was able to download other pdfs that were sent to my email. I tried finding another way to download files from my teacher and I found that I could get it if I went to my email through the normal web browser. It's weird that my phone would allow me to download it through the web browser but not from the email app.

But I guess the important thing is that I found a way to read it. I just wish it could be read on the email app just to be convenient! But I do appreciate everyone's help on this! Thank you so much!

OKAY, so I've talked with HTC about this...the problem is the browser. Download Opera Browser and you can download and view PDF's. Dolphin Browser doesn't work and, as I mentioned, the browser that comes with a lot of current phones does not work.

Huh? Are you using Galaxy Note i717? Dolphin Browser certainly does work -- and works MUCH better than the Opera browser. The Adobe Reader app should install effortlessly on the Note. There is also the free version of Quick Office and Polaris Office comes with the phone.
