Depends on what you're using... I'm referring to the official Facebook app for android - which doesn't have a save function for pictures you view (not that i know of) but the workaround would be to put/share the picture to your online cloud and then download the picture to your phone after its stored in the cloud. Tedious, but it does the job.sorry, thats not my question.

Like naith_kk mentioned, you can actually press the share option while you are viewing the facebook picture in full screen mode and you may choose from your options which app to proceed with your sharing.
For example I have a photo editor app which presents me with option to save the picture upon pressing the share button.

That's also a good way to do it... but its very troublesome when you deal transferring with lots of pictures... because the app will sometimes (more often) launch to edit the pic... you have to save, switch to fb app, save to editor, save... tedious job.Yes your right. Also in sharing the pic, you can select messaging which will add the pic to a message. From there I guess you have the usual save option too.
