Help Any tips to improve chrome?

Hardware issues aside, the biggest (and only) disappointment for me with the N7 has been Chrome.

I had been looking forward to finally getting to use it and was under the impression it was going to be lightning fast and basically the perfect browser.
The sync features are brilliant (though it doesn't seem to save passwords from the desktop version) but pages load very slowly and badly.
Even on fairly simple pages I will usually get half a page sat there before the rest catches up.

Can the original android browser be installed or are there any settings that can be changed to improve it?

I have the same issues. I just stopped using it all together and went with dolphin browser. Pages load much quicker. I wanted to like Chrome, I really did especially since it is the one I use in my desktop but it is still way to laggy and slow for me recommend it. Just go with a different browser until Google decides to update it. That is my advice.

That is weird. I don't notice any problems with chrome delays. Maybe I just look at less complex web pages .

One of the pages that I noticed it is pretty laggy on Chrome is ESPN. Usually if you want it to be smoother you have to wait for the page to finish loading completely. That does not happen in Dolphin browser. So far I find Chrome to be one of the weakest links in this tablet. It is like they removed the Beta label but did not fix the mistakes.

This post will link you to an XDA thread where you can add the JB AOSP browser. It's lightning fast, works with Flash, and suffers none of the drawbacks of Chrome. I honestly can't believe Google had the gall to call what they ship the n7 with "Chrome" - It's complete rubbish.

The one thing I really miss from the stock browser on Gingerbread and ICS is the snap-to-fit the screen.

I like to be able to pinch to zoom then have the browser adjust the text to fit the screen.

Am I missing something on Chrome?

I can't install the stock browser from XDA since I'm not rooted. I did try Dolphin HD though and found it just as slow as Chrome :/
