hey all! i have a rooted verizon s3 and i was wanting to play around, but before i get too crazy i want to make a nandroid. however, each time i try to create one with CWM, i get an error that says something like you have 12g of space on your sd card. i know that i have enough space on my card so i'm not sure what the deal is. how have others gotten around this? help a bro make a nandroid!

hmm, im using v5.5.0.4 CF - v1.5

i dont have an option to flash cwm touch
are you using the cwm manager app or are you trying this directly from recovery?

both, i believe. i've selected "backup current ROM" and also rebooted into recovery and tried there. no dice. oh and the version i posted is for ROM manager. perhaps looking at wrong thing?

complete (write) operation failed

looks like the issue

edit - holding down power isn't doing anything. can i pull the battery? at this point i just want to get back to a regular boot.

you can

holding down power for 10 seconds should force a shut down

pulling battery will work too

write operation failed is odd, that would suggest a corrupt file or you used the wrong one (used zip instead of tar)
also you made sure you didnt tick Repartition

i have to go to bed (uk time, early start)
make a thread on xda see if anyone else has come across this

definitely used the tar file and definitely didn't tick repartition.

cheers, have a good night.
