Root Lock Screen Help.

Ok so the power button stopped working for a bit so I got No Lock from the Market. Today I decided to turn it off since my power button was working fine. After hitting the turn on Lock button, I put it in sleep mode. Now when I hit the power button to go to lock screen it brings up my phone background and I can't hit anything nor will it allow me to unlock.( I'm not sure if i even had a lock code or not, would this be whats wrong?)

Reading your info under your name, you are rooted.?
Try booting into recovery and wiping cache and dalvik cache.

Yes I am Rooted, sorry should have included that. Will Try the suggestion.

Try booting into recovery and wiping cache and dalvik cache.

Tried it Still no change.

maybe its time to flash a new rom?

if not then try and wipe dalvik cache and cache again and then re-flash your current rom.

Flashing a ROM will fix any software issues, but if its hardware related that won't help.

What recovery are you on? Not having the power button working could cause issues.


What ROM do you plan to flash?

If you decide to flash MikGv3.11 or Decks Reloaded, both roms have the option to use the volume up or down to wake up phone instead of using the power button.

Using Amon RA 2.3. My power button is working atm.
Also not sure about which ROM, looking around to see one that I like right now.

Keep in mind a working power button is required to flash ROMs with Amon Ra 2.3 (its your select/enter button)

If you wipe everything and the power button stops working before you can flash a ROM you are screwed.

I would suggest switching to smelkusmod recovery, which is based off of Ra 2.3 but has among its added goodies the ability to use the capacitative buttons to navigate and flash in recovery

Alright I'll look into this also you can close the thread now I decided to Flash Decks Reloaded. My Issue has been solved. Thanks for all the help guys. ^^
