Help no memory left

hi,
i have a load of games on my s3 some of them quite large. & it seems to be full, as to when it wants to update it says insuficient memory. on my old galaxy s i just moved some of them over to the ext sd card but this seems to be unavailable on the s3.
is the ext card (i've a 32gb) only for movies & music ?
can someone explain if i am doing something wrong as to what to do or change.

thanks.

insuficient memmory there's hardly anything on the ext sd card.

Never mentioned ext sd...

Memory should clear itself as needed, unless there's a rogue app or something. You can go to Settings> Application Manager to see runnings apps and their memory usage as well as stop apps to clear memory. Rebooting the phone should clear memory and would be your best bet however.

We're not talking about RAM. We're talking about disk space.

Ah, so when i asked specifically memory or sd, why did he say memory?

Memory = RAM (temporary or volatile storage)
SD, SD Card, disk, etc. = Permanent storage

And no, the S3 is designed to not allow apps to run off of external SD. My guess is to limit piracy, but Samsung hasn't stated why. They blame Google, Google (and at least one dev) blames Samsung. Either wy, it's by design and is not likely to change.

Your only option is to move the ones youre not using ( you cant play 6 games at once) to the ext sd card to free up space on your internal sd, then swap out with something when you want to run it, or perhaps root it and symlink so the handset thinks the ext sd is part do the internal sd...
