What Do You Use Your GNote 10.1 For?

Hey guys!

I've been seeing all these Note 10.1 commercials, and I am really interested in it. I'm not sure what I would use it for, and don't know how I would justify spending $500 on it. I think the S Pen is really cool, but my school doesn't allow us to use electronics to take notes or use in class. I have the money to spend, but I'm not sure if this would suit my needs.

The only thing I could possibly do is pop a sim card in it and use it as a laptop for on the go, but who know if that would even work...

I travel a lot and thus having a 3G-enabled tablet is a must. Laptop weighs more, takes more space, requires a separate charger. I use one charger for the phone and tablet and only two diferent cables. Watch movies, browse the Internet, etc., etc.

Why would 3G not work?

The price is a big factor for me and having another expensive contract for another expensive device is just too much money. My thinking is just pop in a prepaid cell phone sim like Solavei, or T Mobile prepaid into the GNote 10.1 and I'm good to go. I know T Mobile won't work with it because of the network spectrum, but it should work by the end of the year.

I really want to go buy the GNote 10.1, but I know I do this every time "The Next Great Thing" comes out. The N7 was my biggest impulse buy ever, I didn't even see it! I was in Japan and told my secretary to pre order what ever tablet comes out during Google I/O. The difference is, the GNote 10.1 is much more expensive and I'd hate to love it for a month, and then it sits on my desk for the next year.

What else do you'll use your GNote 10.1 for?

Do not try to find reason to buy it, if you do not know them yourself, a waste of money. I think you might have enough money to buy whatever you like, but that is not the point.

The thing is, I don't. The Nexus 7 was my first tablet ever. My brothers had a KFire and iPad. The point is, I didn't need the N7, but I got it anyway. To much a long story short, my N7 got stolen and I get $250 in credit from AMEX. I know I'd like a GNote 10.1, but I don't know what I would use it for.

In this case, I say get it. When you have it, you will explore it bit by bit every day, and will find out how to do things that need to be done.

When I travel, I use it instead of a laptop. Spreadsheets, movies, music, WiFi, 3G and most important games. GNote brings some extra stuff, like photo editing software, note taking apps, etc., etc.

Your usage profile may be different, but if you have the cash to spend, just get it and enjoy it.

Here is my game on samsungapps: DrawItGuessIt. I think it is a good fit for the tablet and surely would like some feedback on its gameplay. Sorry, can't post links here; I am a newb here.

I already own a wacom, and a lenovo w520, and a galaxy nexus....technically I have no reason whatsoever to own the 10.1 lol...but thanks to being in the IT dept at an automotive plant...I place a PO and it comes in the next day. Anyway...I use mine for sketching, time killing, RDP into my work servers....maybe even get into tapping into the VM's directly once I find some good software. I'll eventually try out some inventory software to keep me from buying really expensive RF scan guns. I'll use it for movies and books in January when im stuck on a stupid cruise ship that charges 6 bucks a minute for internet (stupid allure of the seas ship)...basically it'll keep me from having to lug my laptop around all the time in case I need to connect to the terminal server or do some minor things...plus the main purpose is to do things on it in front of ipad users to make them feel less tech savvy than they already are...moohoohahah. ;-)
