Help Seriously? No vibe for notifications in vibe mode? WTF?

I've explored this front to back. And have't really seen much talk about it on here to which I'm shocked...

Did some research and saw this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1785800

I can either get the phone to vibe all the time, even in sound mode. Or no vibe at all (except for the ringer).

What the what? I've never had a phone that you couldn't set to vibrate. This should be very simple. And if I enable vibe in the individual apps, damn thing vibes all the time. Even in sound mode.

Help! Am I doing something wrong or is this just the way it is? Even the crapple iphone has a small toggle to turn vibe on and off.

Somebody talk me off the ledge here :)

Yep. Been there, done that. I don't get it.....

Does your phone give you text and gmail notifications when in vibe mode? But also not vibe when in sound mode?

I don't think I'm asking for much here :)

Gmail>>Menu Button from Inbox screen>>select account to modify>>Sound & Vibrate>>tick Vibrate.

Do a similar approach for Text Messages, etc.

One thing that annoys me is the Gmail notification is a rather unpleasant ring that I have no idea to change. Already set notification as flower sound but it only changed the notification on Facebook and my stock email client. The Google mail itself still rings like those old rotary type phones.

Follow the same path I mentioned above in Gmail and you'll find where you can change the notification for the specific Gmail account.

So as long as we hooked up on my thread, I have one more assignment for you :)

Put it in sound mode and see if it vibrates when in sound mode too.

I already did:

Okay I asked my sister to send me a txt using sound mode and another on vibrate mode, on sound mode I got both sound and vibrate, on vibrate mode I just get a vibration notification. Haven't tested it on email yet.
