creating a book or journal using s note

OK I'm maybe thinking about this wrongly but can you use s note to create a multi page booklet?

I want to create some headings on a page, then copy that page a number of times and later leaf through the pages and make entries. I've had a go but can't find how to create extra pages. So is s note only meant to create one note or page at a time?

If so is there any other way to do what I want?

(When I search for help note all I get is help using the s pen).

Edit - ok I'm getting somewhere. I was using idea note before, now using note and it lets me add pages. Still, anyone know of a good tutorial? I'm poking and hoping here - there must be an easier way.

Sounds like you found the little plus sign in the bottom right corner. There are some tips in a folder on the main note screen. Maybe same tutorials if you hit the icon in the upper right when on the main screen. Other than that maybe YouTube. I just kind of sorted it out by playing around and reading the forums. I swear every couple days I learn something it does that I didn't know!

Thanks. I'll have a search on YouTube. One further question for now. When I open a note, I initially get a view that has a little window at the left hand side that lets me scroll down the page. When I start editing, I loose that view, so I'm stuck with just the top half of a page. How do I either get that view back or scroll down while editing?

If I understand correctly, once you are editing or writing in the note, there is a scroll bar on the right hand side of the screen. You can touch and drag it up and down in the note. You can also usenyour thumb and forefinger to pinch or expand the screen like a zoom and zoom out. You can also touch the icon to give you back the view you start with. I believe it's beside the pen selection icon on upper left.

The only thing I have trouble with is my hand touching the slider accidentally. Since putting a cover on my tablet I seem to be able to stop doing that as my hand sits on it just above the screen.

Thanks but that's not exactly what I'm seeing. Heres what I'm doing. I open s note and choose note_1. In the next view I can scroll up and down. Next I tap the down arrow on the top right hand side. Then I tap on the page and marker icon to open the tool set. At this point Im viewing the top half of the page an have no way to scroll. Ah, hang on. I see what I need to do. I need to shuttle between drawing mode and scrolling mode by taping that page and marker icon again. Sorted. Would have been easier with Somerset of instructions though.

Well, not really. You just didn't realise that I was starting from a point of having no understanding of what I needed to do!

You've just given me a mini tutorial - thanks. I could do will a few (thousand) of those!

Am I alone In thinking that apps need more instructions on how to get the best of them? How many people, I wonder, simply give up on apps because they can't understand them.

Ha ha, well you know something because your on here asking questions and getting things figured out. Ya the directions and or tutorials that come with things now a day's seem to be minimal information.

I've had many android phones so some things seem typical to me. Snotes is very cool and has taken me a bit to sort out, and you will get it too. Don't be afraid to hunt around and push all the icons to see what they do. Sometimes holding on something brings up menus and sometimes not.

Do you know how to zoom in and out with your fingers? Just like a smart phone, touch thumb and fore finger on screen and move them a part while still touching screen. You''ll notice in snotes that if you are editing a note the only way to move around is the scroll bar, but you can zoom in and out with your fingers.

Make sure to read through the tips and tricks included on the main notes page. It's pretty brief but shows some good basic stuff.

Actually, having read through the tutorial again, I see that in editing mode you can zoom in and out using two fingers as you say but you can also move around the page by sliding two fingers.

I've also discovered a folder where the s notes files are kept - so I can set up a backup of that.

Lots to learn - particularly for someone like me who is coming directly from a pc to a tablet (never had a fancy mobile phone).

It's like windows, once you sort it out it will be familiar on any android device even though it may look a little different.
