Apologies for this novice question, but why??

Kies - For backing up/syncing (I don't like Syncing. My PC and phone are 2 separate entities and I want to keep them that way), but it doesn't actually do a full backup per itunes for example!

Kies Air - Pretty cool for looking at phone contents and moving files around (plus copy and pasting between phone and computer.....errrr backing up?!)

Kies via Wi-Fi - Is that not the same as Kies Air?

Plus I'm not even sure I have Kies on my phone. Should I have? Is it purely a computer app? How am I supposed to know this stuff??:hmmmm2:

The only advide I can give you is to avoid Kies alltogether and don't even worry about them.
