If you are on 4.0.4 there is a one click root method. No Odin required. No flashing required.

If you are on 4.1.1 then you can do one of two things.

1. flash back to stock 4.0.4 ICS. Use Debugs one click root method. Install Voodoo OTA root keeper and then use it to protect root. Then you go to your phone settings and install all the updates available for your phone(should be 3 or so) and you'll end up with 4.1.1 then you go back to Voodoo and it will unhide root and boom. You are rooted 4.1.1

2. install Odin. download some files to your pc and some to your SD card. connect your phone in odin mode (power+vol down+home) then at the warning screen press vol up. Connect to your pc and run odin. Then you will have to flash a few things to your phone. Then use clockwork mod recovery to flash something then go back to odin and flash one or two more things. Then you are rooted.
