Saying Hello - New to the forums

I received a message from a mod with the rules, but the thing that really compelled me to introduce myself was the little Android figure with the outstretched arm imploring me not to lurk! I could not resist the Android!

Now that I have thoroughly convinced all of you that I am quite insane, I'm sure that the introductions will go much more smoothly. *nods*

Right now I'm saddled with an LG enV Touch. The resistive touch-screen on it is terrible, and before I got VZW to update the firmware, it was actually randomly losing my settings! The multimedia features are also just enough to make me want more. It's a gateway-drug phone. So I look very much forward to moving to something better and more powerful. Which is why I've been lurking here: I've been eyeing the Nexus One and the Incredible, wanting to pick up one of them. The Incredible, with the Sense UI, seems like the best option.

I actually created an account so I could download the HTC Incredible manual. But hey, if I'm going to own an Android phone, I may as well stick around. :)

Hi, my name is Michael and as my screen name implies "ImGreen" or in other words new to Android. I hope that my first Android device is the Sprint HTC EVO 4G. While I am new to Android I am a long time tech hobbyist. I have lived the last 18 years primarily in a Microsoft world, but I like to keep up to date with all the tech news and happenings.

Starting with my first "real" smart phone, I had a Palm Treo 600, then a Palm Centro, then an HTC Mogul, and currently a Palm Pre (before these smart phone I had Windows CE PDAs and dumb phones.) These devices have all been with Sprint which despite some hiccups has always done right by me. I feel no need to try an iPhone or another network for any reason and the EVO 4G is the best new reason to stick with Sprint.

Can not wait for the EVO... when will someone post the EVO user guide???

Anyway... glad to be part of the Android fun! :-D
