Root [ROM] Unlocked Potential Remix 07/19/13

I've been waiting for the perfect rom since launch day and the time may have come!
I'd like to ask you a personal question, what drives you to do what you do? I know this stuff takes hard work and requires a lot of your time, what's your motivation, a desire to help others or do you just enjoy working on making your phone really great and just like to share your work? I don't even know where to begin regarding overtaking such a task as making a rom. I bet a lot of programming knowledge is required? Any advice for those that would like to aspire to help others just as you and others like leslie ann have!?

I just like to make my phone as powerful as it can be.......... and whatever i make i share with the community :)

As far as advice goes start small, research how Android works and how a Rom is Flashed, and Google is your friend if you need to know something Google Search
 
I'm gonna chime in a bit on this...

Depending what you do with a ROM, it can be fun and require little knowledge to extensive knowledge.

Personally, I theme things a lot. Its fun, and I'm very picky when it comes to icons/colors/etc. I've dabbled in ROM development, and it was fun, but a little out of my league. I know how to edit build.prop, add a few things here and there, and that's about it. Oh and i know uodater-scripts. That's it though.

When it comes to smali editing and xml editing...well...Meh! Smali makes my head hurt, and xml I can change colors...that's about it.

It depends on what you want to do though and how far you want to take it. Good luck!
 
One question Mobs,
I use Poweramp as my primary music application. Under the Equalizer options of the app there is an individual on/off toggle for Equ, tone, and limit. To fully maximize my HD Mobs sound should all of these be on or off? If you have no idea then I'll just mess with it on my own but I figured I better ask the mastermind himself. :) So far new update is buttery smooth and great as can be! Thanks!

Using Equalizers and other Sound Mods will Disable HD Audio (probably only for that app) but its your preference so do whatever you want :smokingsomb:

ive been trying to figure that out for months, im still lost tho. I thought it was always on? and what about google music?

Google music should be fine since I believe it doesn't have any equalizers...... And yes its always on unless something else interferes or trys to modify the sound

so if i use poweramp and turn off the equilizer will i have the hd audio, sorry if i sound like a dumbass

I'm not sure I've bought Poweramp myself but I haven't downloaded or used it in a long time since I find myself listening to Radio and Streaming Video/Music more...... You'll have to try it out to see if it'll work

I'm pretty sure Sense 4.0+ (Sense 4.5) has to be tied into Jelly Bean so no promises there but hopefully i can make something awesome :)
