Question

I never have any issues with the screen brightness inside. I find that the GS3's auto brightness is calibrated to exactly how I like it.

The screen is definitely harder to see outside in bright sunshine. I find this to be the case for most phones anyway. Personally, I don't use my phone often when outside. If I do, it is harder to see the screen, but not impossible. I use my phone in the car for navigation almost all the time. If the sun shines on the screen, it makes it harder to see, but I can still see it. If you are using your phone outside often, it just takes a little while for your eyes to adjust.

This is my exact feeling as well on all counts.

I guess I won't use it very often outside but it would still be annoying if it happens.
Great that everybody loves the phone so much, has to be a great phone :D

Every phone has its faults but the "galaxy S" range has been excelent so far (although i dont understand why the SIII Mini got the "S" badge lol)

Man i couldnt handle that typa size these days mate. Duno if its my eyes ageing or ive just got used to bigger screens.. probs a bit of both lol :)
Hate how samsung sold out with that one though. The "S" line was respected until the s3 became "the iphone killer" and like a fashion statement or status symbol so they had to make a dumbed-down version sharing its name :)

But wait, remember when the s3 first came out. It first was dubbed the "iphone wannabe" because of the physical home button lol which in turned apple pursued a law suit against that if I'm thinking right :p

Meh if your going to get a galaxy mini, just pick up an s2, it's cheaper I'm sure and better specs lol

Thats true lol. I hate all the law-suit stuff, especialy trying to own a shape but im defo not a samsung fan and they do imitate physicly. My mum got a new phone a few months ago and seeing it from a few metres away at a glance, i sead "you bought an iphone?" Lol. It was a white Galaxy Ace 2! Even my wifes original Ace looks really iphoney.. the ratios of its design are really similar to the iphone 4/s design.
I suppose its a good thing for Android though (i am a google fan) that the s3 brought some new people to the platform :)

Oh yeah, the s2... that was my dream phone when the wife surprized me by pre-ordering the s3 for me :)
Still an amazing phone

I thought the same exact thing when I seen my buddies new phone from a distance, the white s3 on launch day, called him a traitor until he handed me the phone then immediately got jealous lmao :D

I got my s3 coming from an s2, it's a solid device, but its a little too much like the og galaxy s as far as design and a few specs IMO

I've had all 3 galaxy's, hands down 3 is my favorite :p

S4? Not even wasting my money on it when it launches lol

Yeah its strange, the s4 IS a big upgrade in a way but the thing is.. how many people can even detect that a display is 1080p vs 720p??? I know i cant lol.
Also the s3 is so powerful that it hasnt been pushed to its limits. Kinda like (im not a gamer at all so im guessin here) the xbox 360 has been around for ages because the hardware is more advanced than the available software.
So other than the bigger, denser display on the s4, why would you need such an insanely powerful phone for the forseeable future :)

^This!!!

If your coming from an s2 or a lower-mid end phone, I can justify spending money on the s4.

But coming from an s3, what more are you getting other than a screen 0.2" larger, 1080p display, and more not so needed ram.

Hell I'm a heavy gamer and even I haven't caught any lag at all running high end games.

IMO, if there's an s3 owner that feels they MUST have the s4, the only advantage to that would be getting the KLP update.

We're already going to get an update with some of the s4's features as it is.

The s4 is a major disappointment to me if you can't tell :p

As an S3 owner I literally can't justify an S4 (and I'm the kind of guy that's always buying things when I don't need it :D )

So I'll skip the S4 and wait for an S5, however the next Nexus will be before then and I can see myself going that route without even knowing the manufacturer yet.

To be fair, i dont think the s4 is a bad phone, its just that the s3 is so good lol

If the SGS3 weren't such a good phone, I might have ditched it for a phone with a landscape slider keyboard. I stuck around with it until I discovered SwiftKey. I'm glad I stuck with it. The SGS3 is awesome.
