Accessories So does the Incredible come with a micro SD card or not?

Just wanted to get some clarification on this as I've read conflicting reports on whether there is a micro SD card included in the packaging.

I don't mind getting one if there's not one included, but I'd like to have one ready for when the phone gets here, and since I'd be ordering the card online (much cheaper than buying it locally), I'd probably have to place an order within the next few days.

So if anyone with any insider information has the lowdown, please share! :)

we're going to get at LEAST 10 more new threads on this topic by Wednesday ;)

Is that a good over/under? I will go $50 on the over!

I know the OP has a valid question, so I am not funning at his expense. I just can't believe how many times that has been asked and answered. I know there are some conflicting reports, but Anon has stated, and reviews confirm, the lack of this feature.

Ok I actually have a relevant question:
Excuse my n00bness, but what exactly is stored on the microSD card? I know about the app dilemma but I was wondering more if I could save images from the camera exclusively on the card? Would music files I transfer using DoubleTwist (iTunes--> Android app) be on the card or on the internal memory?
Thanks.

You should be able to save the same things to the card as any other Android phone. Music, pictures, etc.

Are you guys really sure on it NOT including a microsd card.

from Androidcentral's review

And on top of that, Verizon's including an 8GB microSD card, and the phone can handle up to a 32GB card. You'll run out of battery long before you'll run out of music. (Side-effect: When you mount the Incredible as a disk drive, you actually see two -- one for the internal memory, and another for the microSD card.)

Either they got a special freebie thrown in or something's not right.

Either they got a special freebie thrown in or something's not right.

Hence the multiple posts about this subject.

Most reviews either say nothing regarding a card or say there wasn't one...

Most people who have been following or providing info. don't think there is one...

what makes things even less clear is the tendency of companies not to ship reviewers the same thing you or I would pick up off the self.

That said, I don't think there will be one.

Yeah. Guess we'll find out in a week. I personally don't care for having a card. Be nice to have freebie thrown in.

So I'll take it like this. there won't be one, if they happen to have one. Hooray if not oh well. I have plenty of cards lying around anyhow.

Exactly. :)

Although I have a 2gb card in my old phone I probably won't even bother putting it in the new one...

I REALLY don't see me using up the 6.6 gb on board storage... you never know though :p
