need help with tablet

My son has a android tablet version 4.0.4 but there is no manufacturer's name anywhere when it boots it just says android ver 4.0.4 .........ok the problem is he keeps getting error write to disc directory not found he has tried many factory resets and the same thing happens.
He is also having problems with the SD card it says its mounted but he can not place anything on to it or download anything he keeps getting the write to disc error directory not found this is when trying to add to SD card, then to top things off it says he does not have permission or admin rights .
So can anyone help me / us out at a loss here and as I said many factory resets and diff SD card tried and get same errors over n over

the tablet was bought off of ebay in dec of 2012 that one was supposedly new but we found pics already on it and it had issues so we sent it back after many attempts and arguments they refunded the money , then out of the blue another tablet shows up from same company this one def brand new I did find out when searching my ebay records its a E18 MID 7" Google Android 4.0 Tablet PC 4GB Netbook .........

if a factory reset does not work then i'm not sure what else you can do at this point. my friend bought a colby tablet from toys r us and it had issues staying booted up no matter how much charge is left. he ended up returning it and bought a tab 2 7" for $179.99 and now he has no issues.

i always believe that with electronics, you get what you paid for. the low end devices are just not worth it IMO.
