Google Play refund won't refund funds

Just purchased an app with Google Play Funds (prepaid $10 card for Google Play) that wasn't working and decided to file the refund thing in the google play store within the 15min period, the transaction cancelled but no refund was given to the Google Play card, not seeing this I tried to purchase another app but without looking It was accidentally purchased with credit card due to the funds from the first app not being refunded to the Google Play card, is there a wait time for such refunds or does it just not work?

I believe you'd need to specify the gift card if you wanted the new purchase to be made from that. When you say "without looking it was accidentally purchased with credit card" then it seems unreasonable for the gift card to be charged without your knowledge and consent.

It's probably worth a toll-free call to the Play Store Support people to get the issue resolved.
