Root Would like a VV5 firmware flash

I kno I can use the. cab file and all the other steps, but I have no computer. Is there a way to do it over the phone only or maybe someone make a flash able file to use on recovery.miami guy did VV3 maybe something like that. I really would love to have VV5 now that it is rooted.

If I flash with miami guys VV3, do you think I can go to metro and get the update to VV5 with out a problem? I kno it has to be in stock rom and unrooted. Think that will be enough to fool them into doing it for me?

HERE YA GO! The very first thing you should do is make a backup before flashing this and please know that I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE if anything goes wrong or happens to your phone after you use this so please only use this knowing that you do so at your own risk... Ok now that thats out of the way download ---> (vv5 backup) once its downloaded extract the vv5 folder from the .zip and then place it on your SD card here --> clockworkmod/backup/ once you have done this then you will need to put your phone into Recovery Mode (CWM) once there go to -backup and restore- then -restore- then -vv5- let it run then reboot your phone, after the phone fully boots-up you should reboot/restart you phone one more time before using, I hope this works for you.

Thts great, I will post it in its own thread later and yes vv5 has quick memo, you just have to press the volume up and down at the same time and it will pop up for you

It took a bit to get QM started but it finally worked after an hour or so. Will def donate for a monster or coffee.xD

unfortunately flashing this recovery will not update your baseband. as far as I can tell the only surefire way to update is with http://androidforums.com/connect-4g-all-things-root/695800-unbrick-unroot-update-lg-connect.html at least until Shatterproof gets a flashable updater working and uploaded.
