I ordered mine yesterday I just say call back and try and get someone else.

Yeah, but be careful they keep track of how many times you call. I got, "You have called several other times, what is your problem?" when i called today. I wanted to say...oh, some dude I don't know said my order probably doesn't exist and I was so bored that I needed to find out for myself since you people are making us wait for the phone and the effect on some people is like dropping acid -- "I ride a dolphin to my phone over a sea of peanut butter but a computer grows legs and walks away when i get there.....I saw the phone, I touched it.....but it just doesn't exist any more now, man...it's a figment in my mind now, man"

You guys all need to relax. You made an order, and you got an order confirmation email ( as did I ). The website said on nearly all the pages that the phone would ship on the 28th for arrival on the 29th - if it hasn't shipped yet, then how could there be a tracking number, etc.? That's why you can't get one, and hence the message of phone availability when you check ( they don't mean that it's sold out, they mean it's not technically available yet ).

It also said that the credit card would not be charged until it shipped - which is why nobody is seeing any activity on their card's account yet.

If the 29th comes and no phone, ... THEN ask a question. Until then, how about giving Verizon some credit. I wouldn't worry about it being sold out though. Nearly nobody outside of these forums knows about it that I've talked to and, honestly, most people don't really care.

Just sayin'.

even if their servers were overloaded and your order got lost somehow. people will still be able to go to a verizon store and pick one up.. I doubt its gonna be a big conspiracy and people wont get their phone.

chill people.

6 more days.... its coming.. faster than you can think... it will be here...and you will get it.

haha thats funny about the price. You mean, you arent willing to pay 10 grand for it? Lol jk. I have a question about wifi in general on andriod phones. On my bb pearl, it connected automatically if it was open or a password was saved. On my htc mytouch 3g, it just notifies me when its available and I have to go into settings and connect. I wonder if the incredible will auto connect or just prompt? Cause that was way cool on my pearl

The Inc will notify you, but does not automatically connect. You can us a toggle widget or the power control widget for easy access. I also think that for remembered networks, you can set the options to automatically connect when that network is in range..

Is that with or without the wrapper? If it weighs more than 4.6oz I'm not gonna buy it. Cause anything more than 4.6oz in my pocket is going to make me walk funny. Thus causing my back to be misaligned. Then I will have to seek a chiropractor for 2 years until my NE2 is up again!!

Edit: BTW this was sarcasm. If the phone weighed 1lb I would still buy it.
Funny :)

Have folks force march about 30 miles with an M60, 100 round belt of ammo, 50 to 75 pounds of other stuff and THEN see if an extra ounce or two is an issue. Hey, at least you are not carrying the tripod as well! ;)

Has our society become THAT prissy and soft to harp about a few ounces?

Irony added:

These folks will probably be the same that complain about battery life when they get a super light phone ;)

Just received my hard clear plastic snap on case from Verizon (Part#: VZW6300COVC). Although it says it is silicone on the website description, it is hard plastic and does not have a rubber coating like other hard plastic cases I've had in the past. It does follow the contours of the back of the phone.

The website says "front and back." does it have some kind of protect for the front? how's the feel of it?

You think it'll go to Amazon and Wirefly so quickly?

There's another thread where someone posted they saw it for $149 on wirefly already. I looked, but couldn't find it. Perhaps they accidentally listed the price early. Now it just says coming soon. That's the same price the Moto Droid debuted at. It then dropped to $99 after the debut. Amazon and Wirefly usually have similar pricing.

spoke to vzw customer service asking them to confirm my pending order. they said they can't but the manager "the horses mouth" said they were going to begin shipments on the 25th. !!!!!!!!!!!! :O

Could that explain the two different dates we were getting before the announcement? The 25th AND the 29th?

I'm going to have to agree with Montana Man. I've been reading this thread since it was created, and enjoyed it most of the time even though there were the times where youd have to sift through some nonsense to get the information. Now it seems like that's all this thread is, mostly just nonsense with MAYBE a post or two of something thats worth reading. Everythings just being re-iterated over and over again. What they needed to do was close this thread until release date then re-open it, not the other way around.
