Help New Nexus 5 - Knackered?

Hi All,

Well I got my fab new brilliant superdooper Nexus 5 on Monday last week. (Ordered it on Saturday, delivered on Monday so can't complain). Finally managed to sit down with it last night to get it all set up and configured etc. 10 Minutes into setting it up the screen froze and 20 seconds later this appeared.

Any ideas?

Anyone else had the same problem? I see some folks complaining about lines or blocks on the screen but this is the whole screen.

Thing is I can't try resetting the phone (not that I think that will solve it) as I cant see the numbers to input my password and as I can't switch it off I can't do a power button/down volume reset.

Any suggestions?

If you hold the power button down for like 15-20 seconds, does it vibrate and attempt a reboot?

Yeh, when I do this the phone appears to go through the reboot process (vibrate, screen goes off, comes back on again) but it's still the 'snow' screen every time.

Looks like a hardware defect. I would RMA it and get another.
