Uhhh.. In store unit was very laggy.. wth?

Went to my local verizon store to pre-order, and the manager brought out a 'dummy' unit as they called it. Anyways, everything about it was amazing, until I loaded up the galaxy wallpaper... it was lagging as I scrolled through pages.. not smooth as I saw in the videos. Is anyone with the Incredible now experiencing this as well?

Negative. I tested it out with the live wallpapers (the plasma one looks cool as all get out) but don't use them, personally.

first time i've heard of it lagging. Who knows, with 50+ people probably having used it before you. Just thank God it's not the Storm... with ONE person using it before you, it would ALWAYS have the never ending lag clock. -shudders-

In-store units get messed up all the time. They should factory reset them nightly.

once you get your phone activated, i'd back up your contacts if you need to and go ahead and do a hard reset (clear storage, format, whatever its called on android). best to do it then before you set everything up. by doing this you reduce the risk of having random software bugs. its only a big deal if you have your phone fully set up, so do it when you first get it...

Could you be more specific...give a time on the vid. I didn't catch the lag you were talking about on the video.

That would be great, but we have a list of things that need to be on the phone and even how the icons should be laid out. It would be a nightmare to reset everything, reactivate, redownload, and setup everything again.

I would suggest to management about rooting and just restoring from a nandroid backup every night, but I'm sure I would get a stern NO. lol

When I looked at the Eris at the store, it had an analog clock and a very "Laugh In" wallpaper on it.

I bought it anyhow
