Visual Voicemail

Ready to dump the standard voicemail that my GS4 came with. Thinking about either using YouMail https://www.youmail.com/

or Fusion Voicemail Plus http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ajDHewraUDk Fusion Voicemail Plus - Visual Voicemail for iPhone, Blackberry, Android and Windows Mobile[/url]. Anybody have any experiance with using either one of these apps? I'd love to get some feedback before going through the entire call forwarding process. Thanks in advance!

YouMail works great with the S4. There is no manual forwarding configuration, unless you want to shorten the time before forwarding. It was recommended to me by a forum member, and I recommend it as well.

I have a Google Voice number, and although I only use it on my laptop for webinars and such, I do use Google Voice's voicemail service. It emails me when I miss a call, and when I have a voicemail, along with a transcript of the voicemail. It's also extremely easy to change my voicemail message back and forth.

I had been using YouMail but switched to the AT&T Visual Voicemail. Works great.

do any of the above apps record the voice mail on to the phone just like you can on the iphone? Im sick of the visual voice mail never works properly and i still have to dial in.

Google Voice does not record the voicemail on your phone. You get an email with a transcript of the voicemail. It is far from accurate, but you usually can get the gist of the voicemail, enough to determine who it's from and whether it's important. If I want to listen to it, I usually login on my laptop, but you can also download the voicemail as an MP3 to your phone and listen to it that way. There may be a way to set Voice to automatically download voicemails, but I have not looked into that.

The best thing about using Google Voice is that it's free, so if you don't like it you're not out anything.

ya not what im looking for. the voicemail on the iPhone was the only feature i liked about the iphone. Seems like my provider is the only one that does not have a app for that..hehe

YouMail is awesome! I've been using it for years. One really cool thing about it is that it takes all of your calls & voicemails from one device to another. There's no dialing in, you just open the app & hit play. You can also listen to your messages on the website. I love that I can have separate voicemail messages for different contacts. For work contacts it can be more professionals, for friends it can be more fun, etc.
