I have a quick question for all you geeks here, I was reading a thread about updating the PRL, and when I decided to check what version I was on I also noticed that while scrolling down that the mobile Network State says disconnected, is this normal?? I know I have my mobile icon turned on, any input would be great, and also what does updating the profile do??

It means your mobile internet is turned off and/or not connected. There is nothing wrong wit that. Turn your mobile internet on and it will say connected.

Updating your profile isn't bad... I'm pretty sure it just refreshes your account info and such with Sprint... someone correct this if I'm wrong.

Hey everyone, I realized yesterday after I left my house that I have no service on the phone now at all. I had been using my home wifi so hadn't noticed any issues until I left. However, I can text and make phone calls, just not access internet or anything related to that. I went into Settings, About Phone and Status and noticed that Mobile Network State says Disconnected. Not sure if that's a problem, but it didn't sound good.
Either way, I have tried calling Sprint, but they try to walk me to Updates and I don't have that option anymore since I rooted last year to the Froyo software. I'm not comfortable with all of the flashing and should be considered an extreme noob on these matters, but any assistance would be fantastic.
Oh, one more note that may or may not have relevance: My wife took my upgrade to get a new phone right before this issue was noticed. They had to deactivate my phone briefly and then reactivated. Again, not sure if this has bearing or not, but wanted to throw it in there.
Thanks again.

That sure does have something to do with your issue, my guess is you will have to restore your Stock Nandroid rom if you made one, then update your Profile and PRL and then I bet your service will work again

If I were you I would open a new thread up in the all things root section, and you will get more responses, because your phone is rooted.
