Zagg Invisible Shield Installation

Is it just me, or are they hard to put on? I used one of the 50% off coupons to pick up a shield for 10 bucks. When I got it, it took me 3-4 times to put it on, and still there were bubbles, even after 24 hours of drying.

I contacted them and they were pretty much no help as I did everything already that they suggested.

So I went to Best Buy today to pick up another one and to have them them install it for $7.99. It looks FANTASTIC. It took him about 3 minutes to do! They did have their own bottle of some liquid not the standard one that came in the package. Anyway, if you have trouble or want it done right, have them do it!

*They got in 75 INC yesterday, and they are already sold out.* He had to deny 3 customers while I was waiting in line.

Thanks for the tip. I also ruined my Zagg shield putting it on yesterday.. a tiny little hair, but you know-- enough to drive me crazy. I tried to pull it off and scuffed the shield with my fingernail. I tried washing it.. everything, to salvage it, but it's a no -go. I will just go to Best Buy and get one and have them do it.

I heard they're not coming with the spray anymore, just a sponge. Is this true?

Mine came with just a sponge. I thought the install was pretty easy, other than worrying about the solution getting into parts of the phone.

The one I got from them directly was just a sponge in some water/cleaner.

The one I purchased at Best Buy came with a bottle of cleaner and a better scraper. The CSR said that they normally don't come with cleaner any more; he was surprised.

It's also guaranteed for the life of the phone if you purchase the install through them. Just walk in and get a new one put on. Can't beat that.

I just got the screen protector..($20.99) + Install ($7.99). The whole screen is covered, including the buttons.

I just have the high gloss case around it. Perfect Fit.

I believe ZAGG only has the screen cover right now, but i would guess they will come out with a "full body" cover sometime.

The Zagg shield covers the entire front of the phone, not just the screen.

Mine came with a little spray bottle but Best Buy installed it for me using their own bottle of soapy water. Definitely be meticulous about everything being clean. When I got home I noticed one tiny piece of lint between the cover and the screen. It's in the corner, though, so I don't notice it unless I'm looking for it, so I'm not going to worry about it.

I thought $7.99 was expensive for them to install them on the front screen only, but if they only 100% guarantee them if you pay for install, I may just have to pay up. It looks like we may be bringing in our Incredibles to Best Buy with our purchased Zagg shields when we get them.

All zagg shields are 100% guarantee. It cost $5 dollar to get a replacement directly from zagg or if you have those mall carts they will replace them for free and you can get it installed for $5.

It's not difficult to install the screen shield. Just go slowly and use a credit card to smooth the bubbles out while u lay the shield down.

I've found the less solution u use, the better. Plus it dries a lot faster. The bubbles will work themselves out.

as dumb as this may sound, it actually works. just dont use it in the shower / keep it around steam often! never had issues installing in a steamy bathroom tho

That's what I always do. It's a great suggestion, and the most "dust free" environment most of us can accomplish at home.

Wow, you might want to check your moisture detection sticker now. It might be triggered. I have seen a few cases of them getting tripped due to humid environments.

If you don't buy your Zagg shield at Best Buy (I bought mine at the Zagg website) can you still go into Best Buy and have them install it for $7.99?

And if so, do they still guarantee it?

I had so many coupons from Zagg that it was cheaper for me to buy it online but I would rather Best Buy install it. I have a tendency to screw up even the simplest screen covers.
