Official VirginMobile Gs3 4.4 update!!!!

I woke up this morning and my phone was waiting on the update screen. I was thinking ehh maybe virgin mobile is sending out some new security update. Nope! I let the phone update and reload! Its official android 4.4. My phone is not rooted. Official stock virgin mobile gs3. Sorry I can't upload any pictures because I am a new user but I would be happy to Skype them.

Thanks for the update, but this has been out for a couple weeks, just getting to people randomly. Seems the ONLY way the OTA will flash is if people have not rooted before, or messed with their phone in anyway. Is that the case with your phone? Never before rooted, flashed CWM, anything of the sort?

See I have rooted before but virgin mobile sent me a replacement phone because I was having issues with my audio jack. Since I've received the replacement I have not rooted. Its been stock never rooted. And from my understanding this update give the galaxy s 3 a whole new knox boot loader which is why the rooted gs3's may not be getting the update.

Doesn't matter if you rooted in the past or installed custom Roms through a custom recovery you'll still get to install the update if you restore your phone back to complete stock.

That's what I always thought, but that doesn't seem to be the case in this instance. For some reason, the update will NOT take if a user has rooted before and modified the stock kernel in any way. I have been instructing folks to flash back to 100% stock using the MK5 tar through Odin, and the updates are not flashing, as the thread alludes to. There's something with the dhd.ko wifi module that keeps causing status 7 error messages. Until we get that worked out, or a tar gets captured through Kies(which hasn't made the NDC update available yet), users who have rooted before can not get the 4.4.2 update from Boost/VM.

Then the Odin tar for system that you are using isn't complete stock lololol, who made the tars?

Can someone please link where this Mk5 tar for Odin is at with instructions? I want to go back to completely stock. Stock Recovery, bootloader, Knox included bootloader (haven't had or tripped Knox yet), triangle-trip gone (thru triangle away), "official" status in download mode, the whole nine yards.
To basically return the phone to a warranty returnable state.

I'm on CM11 currently MK5.
