Android 4.4.3? (ITS OUT!! 6/2)

I'm getting much worse battery life, though I"m guessing I have something strange going on. In my case, with light usage, I was down to 13% after only about 15 hours. Android OS was using over 30%, with screen only 4%. I didn't see anything else that seemed abnormal. Settings should be the same as they were under 4.4.2.

Guess I'll have to start playing with my setup, see what is going on.

To update my battery life: I noticed some updates today to some apps that are known to be problems, both Chrome and Facebook. I charged my phone after updating Chrome and things seem to be pretty much back to normal. After 6 hours, with minimal usage (charged after I got home today), I still have 83% charge. WiFi has used the most power (18%) -- which may reflect others mentioning that WiFi has been power hungry after this update. Android OS has fallen to third (behind Phone idle) at 12%.

I guess I'll see how it holds up over the weekend and on Monday.

As I posted earlier, I already have the invitation to download 4.4.3 on my phone, but have been hanging on to see how people have found it.

I'd like to download it but, having read some comments on here, I'm a little concerned that problems may arise if I do. Is it possible, having downloaded 4.4.3, to revert to 4.4.2 if I find unacceptable problems?

I'm good dude. I have a few weird things happen, like I'll back our of Google Play and it reverts me to my bank of America app, but it's fine. There will always be something. Download it!

You may be able to revert using the factory image. Not sure, I've never bothered going backwards.

If you are rooted you could just fastboot flash system and revert that way

Thank you. Are there any published instructions how to do this using the factory image?

It is no different than flashing any other type of OS to the phone, such as if you were rooting it. You could even use the same instructions for flashing the 4.4.3 image (you'd just change to the 4.4.2 image, instead, which you can find here).
