HTC News widget

Perhaps I'm blind - i have searched the market place and googled...but i'm unable to find this widget.

I'm a bit perplexed as to why it wasn't included on the incredible.

Any ideas?

And if not - any suggestions as to a good general news widget?

Are you referring to the "Today in History" widget by HTC? The only official "news" widget I've seen was by Google (News and Weather), not HTC.

I never heard of an HTC News Widget either, but the closest thing I guess would be the Friendstream widget in Sense 2.1 maybe.

However, I have one my Twitter accounts setup to follow just news like CNN & FoxNews, and use that account on the built in Peep Widget because I use Seesmic for my other regular Twitter account.

Theres the new widget from the nexus, if that's what you're taking about. It's called genie widget I think. I posted the apk in another thread somewhere. Search, for genie widget, you'll find it.

Yes it's the genie widget. Gives you the "News and Weather" app which is indeed a great little app. It's out there for download if you look for "GenieWidget.apk"
