So I have one of my screens the the People Widget (HTC) and I was wondering if any of you knew how to remove the default action for a person on that screen.

For example, I have the favorites group linked and after I clicked on a person and texted them, the Favorites widet now links that person's icon to texting them every time. Anyone know how to make it not do this?

I would prefer the option of either setting a default action or just opening the contact so I could choose to email, text, GPS etc.

You can change your default action under the contact page.

Figured it out. On the contact's details page click: Menu > More > Set Widget Action .. which will allow you to change the default action of the widget icon

You should just have to press on the contacts' icon ad a menu should come up asking you what you want the default action to be and the choices should be view contact, call, text, or email.

To reorder your contacts try one of the following.

Just a few names, modify each name with a number prefix (01, 02, etc) to force them to "rise to the top".

Lots and lots and lots of names? Use three or four alpha characters such as aaaa, aaab, aaac, etc. You can handle 26x26x26x26 names that way. This method handles over 456,000 names.

The only way I figured out to remove or cancel the standard action, is to undock a contacts facebook connection (or similar) so your contact has 2 entries again in your contacts list. One facebook-contact, one google-contact or internal-phone-contact. Then dock them together again as one complete contact will remove any previous standard actions.... so you will be left with the option again when clicking on the picture of your contact in the Favourites Widget.
Also you won't see any standard action icons anymore in the widget.
