Hi All,

Im new to this forum. I need some suggestion related to what happened to my old Lenovo S560.
I tried to find brand wise but it couldnt be found. So try to post the questions here. Thanks in advance.

Fyi the version of android is 4.0.4 and Phones internal cap is 150mb left, USB Storage cap is 1.4Gb left and SD is 2.08Gb left. My default location is SD Storage (SD Card).

So the problem started with failure on installation upgrade for some games. I wonder why this happened lately so i decided to try to change the default to usb storage. Then the problems started to happened, after changing back to SD , all of my installed games cannot be opened with "Application is not installed" warning.
And some new game installation seems not too stable, opening errors sometimes happened.

Checking the SD card data is all there including images and songs, and from pc i can see the asec files too.
I did my homework searching the webs and could not find any significant solution, including the partition cache wipe.

Thing I really need to get recovered is only some games since they are achieved in all three stars including all angry birds family and level 370 of candy crush (with no single cheat) :( silly I guess but its taking long time to achieve those and I dont want to start from scratch again especially for candy crush.

Can someone gives solutions on how to restore these games , thanks a bunch its already taking me days finding solutions. :)

Well, I would say don't worry much about the candy crush and Angry bird if you have connected it with the Facebook account then it will remain over the same level, as its sync with the server, install a fresh version of Candy Crush put the Facebook account back in place (i.e. the account which you previously used to connect the candy crush) all done all your saved data will be revert back in place where they are. ! :D

Im sorry for being such a nerd here, but I do not enough time to do social life. I have no facebook , twitter or else. Only my google+ :) thats why im quite desperate finding valid solution to this.

Surfing the net , seems theres no answer to it, isnt it ? thanks.

Can you tell us exactly what you did, e.g. how you switched default location? "USB storage" clearly means something different on your phone from mine: on mine it would mean "USB On The Go", i.e. removable storage attached to the phone's USB port, but I don't think it can mean that for you (unless you leave a Meenova adapter permanently plugged in).

It's also a bit puzzling that if it affects app data at all: if you just mean the old Gingerbread-style "install to SD", that wouldn't move app data nor the dalvik cache.

There are specific game data backup apps around (I saw some for Angry Birds a couple of years ago), so it might be worth trying one of those, or a non-root app + data backup like Helium. If you are going to have to fiddle, and maybe reinstall stuff, it would be good to try to back up what you can first.

(No, I've never had this type of issue, so just trying to find out more information here).

USB Storage = Device accesible storage, SD Storage = External SD card (Default before doomed)
And no root , branch , twigs, leaves and all their tempting friends. No time for tweaks :)

Well I guess , like i said above its all started by having this new game installation to usb failure (PStore), downloading halfway , installing and fail. Happened so many times.

Since I still got the USB storage , my tiny little brain suggest me to try installing to that one , so here I am stuck between two worlds cannot do anymore crossing. The old wife turned me down and the new one is failing me. :( Thanks all for the attention.

OK, so I guess you used the old "adb shell pm set-install-location" thing to change the default? Except the last time I looked at that the only options were ""internal", "external" or "auto", so I'd not met one where you could choose the "internal SD card" (as many phone call it, which seems to be what your "USB storage" corresponds to), so wanted to confirm that was how you were changing things.

No, you way too techie/hardon speaking :)
What I did simply was go to Settings - Storage - Choose USB Storage (Phone internal) .
The option always USB Storage or SD Storage (External).
By choosing this , all the new app/game installation will go directly to it (if allowed/possible by the app itself)
