Folders on Apex Launcher

I can make folders, no problem. The problem I do have is more than 2 apps IN the folder. I have 10 apps in the Nature folder, and getting them in there was a pain. You wind up chasing the app with the folder until it deigns to show the circle that the app is in there. I found some advice about doing it fast, that's no good.

Is there any other trick? ADW Launcher, the folder stayed still and you just dragged apps into it.

I have more apps to add to the folder, plus 2 other folders with at least 5 apps that I will add to.

Thanks

I finally asked Apex. Haven't heard back yet. If I do, I'll post the reply. I'll continue to chase as I'm stubborn. Launcher Pro didn't look like it would suit my wants just as well. I had Ubuntu and Symbian Icons on the other phones. Apex found them, and like ADW, I can use just the icons and ignore a theme. I like plain wallpaper using my own photos. Those extra wallpapers are the first thing to get uninstalled or deleted if rooted. Won't use them.

Now that I think about it, I was lured to LauncherPro because of its folder management. The stock folders in Android 2.2 could never remember what had been put in them, or even where they supposed to sit. And I thought it was pretty pathetic that this fancy new operating system couldn't even remember that. What I like about LP's folders, besides them working correctly, is that they're just plain old folders, like I use on my PC. They're not supposed to be thrilling.

I haven't bought pro version yet.
What are tabs in the app drawer? I can't find a static pictoral infographic. I don't like videos. They are too slow. I can read faster.
Is this it?

I found tabs listed, but the categories aren't what I want. I have Nature, Utilities, Astronomy. I checked large tabs and see nothing different. I have things arranged like my old PDA.

What do they look like? Where are they kept? That's what I can't find. Folders do what I want - but if a tab can do it better, I'd like to see before making a judgment. I'm not even sure what app drawer refers to. I've got all the ones I want organized by adding shortcuts, I've adjusted the pages and the dock to my liking. All I've got is that link that shows every installed app. I also don't use widgets.

I've got stuff set up just like the Clie PDA. Takes some doing, but it's a system I like.

Open Apex settings and then go to Drawer Settings>Tabs. Make sure it's set to regular tabs so you can see the tabs and the menu at the top of the app drawer.

Then open your app drawer. Tap the menu (Three dots, upper right)

There you can manage your tabs or add tabs, or create folders within the apps list.

I bought Apex. I think I like the folders on the screen better. Faster to flip screens when you only have 2.

The folders on Pro assimilated the apps much faster. I added 3 more to Nature. Now there's 13 in the folder.
I got that home button to main screen working. Now I can just see the potash ponds and the time without any other apps, and hitting the home button takes me there. The folder takes up less real estate when open, too.

Thanks for the explanation. I finally found out how it worked for future reference.
