How To Honor 5X: how to turn on/off carrier name and network speed from the status bar

There are so many UI tweaks available in the honor 5X, it's a little hard to keep track of all of them. One of our favorites is the ability to turn off/on carrier name and network speed in the status bar (notification area). Here's how you find the setting:

1. Open the Settings app
2. Select Display
3. Toggle on/off Display carrier name
4. Toggle on/off Display network speed

Using this neat little trick, you can have a clean, uncluttered status bar, or have it show as much info as possible. Cheers.

My one gripe with this is that they refuse to turn it off on the lock screen. Other than that, it's nice to have alongside the network speed.

Yeah, I keep carrier display off (I know which carrier I have. Lol) and turn on network speed. Super useful info, just wish more OEMs would do the same.
