this happened on my S5 and i was very happy when 4G was grayed out when wifi was on, on the new S7.

After the recent update i notice both are on all the time now and i feel its effecting battery life.

Thoughts?? What does yours look like? Could it be anything else? Imhave dl'ed any new apps

No, i mean i see both working at the same time.

Download booster off.

So others on verizon arent seeing this?

I'm on T-Mobile,but the following should be the same across all makes/models:
Do you,or,have you ever enabled Developer Options?
If so,you may see something like this enabled:

If not, perhaps VZW has some other setting for such tucked away in their bloatware............

Hi I just got samsung s7 and I noticed it is doing the same, both wifi and 4g on together, it has got to be something to do with a app running in the back ground .
I have just downloaded a app called JUST CLEAN when I scan and clear junk from my apps it gets rid of the 4g and just leaves wifi .
Only just done it so don't no how long it will last , prob till you click on the effending app .

Download Just Clean app press on scan junk ,then clear it , mine 4g icon disappeared, just left wifi .
Hope this helps worked for me .

I'm guessing you're the app developer:
No one in their right mind would or should install this malicious CRAPWARE,it asks for way too many permissions & I suspect is spyware.......

didn't realise Just clean was crapware .
i just see people had the same problem as me ,i thought i would pass on what worked for me .

We definitely appreciate the sentiment, especially if you are not the developer. :) :thumbsupdroid:
With that said:
It's not just crapware, most anything asking for a laundry list of permissions is malware/spyware,plain & simple.
Very few legitimate apps ask for &/or need such to perform whatever it is the apps main function/purpose is.

I'm willing to bet typical Android troubleshooting techniques would solve this problem without this app.

My best advice would be to uninstall Just Crap immediately......
