Do you think it's a good idea to run a giveaway here?

Hi,
I ask so because I had intended to run a big giveaway yesterday for it's my first day here. I wanted to say hellos to you guys with gifts, but failed. I did not know why, but just could not sumbit.
It seems there is no update in the subforum"Contests and Giveaways" for quite a long time. So I guess members here do not like those activities. Is that right?

The contests and givaways forum is only for contests run and/or santioned by the site owner. I would contact @Rob or @Phases for information on running a contest. Regular members aren't allowed to do it without approval.

Sincerely apologize if I make you think I am going to take advantage of the forum and spam with products. I have said I will respect rules here in my first post. Without permission, I will never post for our products or redirect friends here to other sites concerning products, techincal reviews or any commercial purposes.
As for "Made in China", my speaking of how good the items will be terribly unpersuasive. Let time tell the truth.

Off topic accusatory posts deleted. Unless the folks commenting on this thread are privy to information the moderators are not, the user has not violated any rules. If any members have any concerns about a member or his or her activity please report it. What makes AF great is that we don't have mob rule, lets keep it that way.

To @Allmaybe, I'm happy that your welcome thread went better than this one. I would recommend sending a private message to either @Rob or @Phases about your interest in running a contest. As I mentioned earlier, they would be the ones to decide to let an external person run a contest.
