Help Question for incredible people....

Ok so here is my question. My friend works for verizon and I was talking with him today and told him that my eris was acting funny after getting the OTA update for 2.1. So he said well we can send you a new one in the mail. I said jokingly how about you send me the incredible. He said that he will do this for me, but my question to you guys is. Should I get rid of my brand new Eris that is only 5 weeks old and get the "like new" refurbished incredible?

First off they will not send you a new Eris, it will be a refurb. They will give you a refurb INC for nothing?

Yes and thanks to everyone else who answered. I am thinking I am going to do this, because even if its a refurbished incredible it is still better than my Eris.

also, within your warranty period a phone is bound to have some issue and need to be replaced with a refurb anyway. even if the refurb you get has issues you will still be under warranty and get a replacement. well worth the upgrade. they would send a refurb eris otherwise.

Yea I know it would be a refurbished eris so thats why I am thinking about just doing it. Unfortunately he isnt at work anymore so I cant order it now, but I will soon.

For the most part refurbished phones look brand new. I say go for it.
