since my question was unanswered in the 2.1.1 fresh rom thread ill make my own

*question pertaining to fresh rom 2.1.1
how do i change my lockscreen to something like the swipe to unlock?
and how do i change the bottom bar at the bottom of the screen the one with the phone and stuff i want it to go back to the stock one ... i like that one alot better to me its classier


i tried using fresh's "kitchen" but it says on the website that kitchen will not support 2.1 roms what do i do???
any help greatly appreciated

While I can't answer your question, I can offer a bit of help anyway. I see you have stated in your "edit" what ROM you are using. Why not click on "User CP" at the top of this page, then "edit details", and finaly at the bottom, under "additional information/devices"...input your phone and ROM details. Makes it easier for folks here to help you. Just a suggestion, and welcome to the forum!

basically unless you're a developer with the knowhow, you've got (in my opinion) no good choices to change anything up. 2.1 is fairly new to the hero and until it's official, i would not suggest fiddling with various lock screens etc. a new fresh kitchen should be out as soon as 2.1 is officially announce/released for our heros and that'll let you cook your own rom - the way you like it - with the limitations of the kitchen and/or what you can find online.

Well since your still rooted, you can just flash a different Rom to your liking. Go to xdadevelopers.com and go to the htc hero/android and development.

Unless someone has posted something new over at XDA that I haven't seen since yesterday, this is not possible yet. The way the files are done in 2.1.1 are different than what was done in 2.0d. Typically you simply remove htclockscreen.apk but doing that will show you the "Vanilla Lockscreen" and it will be all messed up. This is because it hasn't been fixed/re-done for 2.1.1 yet. The reason for this from what I've read, is due to the fact that if it is fixed for this, it will just need redone when the Final release comes out (which sounds like it might be soon).

at this time you can't change the lock screen to the stock slide sideways to unlock. they'll get that working again soon.

the bottom bar (A.K.A. Rossie).. that's the espresso bar in Fresh ROMs. look on XDA for either the Rosie apk files that are stock, or find one that you like. then flash it or push it (your choice)

as far as Fresh Kitchen. it does not say that Kitchen will NOT support 2.1 ROM's... it says that it won't support them until the official release from sprint.. that of course is ONLY referring to creating custom ROM's.. you can use kitchen to push APK's and to root or even to upgrade you from RA-1.2.3 or RA-1.5.2 to recovery RA-1.6.2
