App folders not transferring, help!

I have a Samsung S8, I recently purchased the Samsung S20+. I have tried using Smart Switch twice to transfer everything from the S8 to the S20+ and the app folders aren't transferring. I'm hoping there is a simple solution here to get the app folders to transfer and populate because the alternative is spending hours creating the folders on the new device and populating them with the apps.

app folders? which apps are we talking about? those usually get created by the apps upon running them.

Correct. App folders get created when you reinstall the apps. It does not copy the contents of the folders when you use smart switch

I have a folder labeled social media and it has all of my social apps like FB, LinkedIn, Messenger, etc. None of the folders I created for organizing apps are transferring to the new phone.

Nope. Just reinstall every app first, then they will be created automatically
