EDIT: If you having a tough time finding the download link, just scroll to the bottom of the page and it will be the first main body of text (blue in color) from the bottom! Also, this is NOT Mac supported as mentioned below, pretty much the only bad part...

Well I've had alot of people messaging me about converters for music, video, photos etc and I decided to just post up a thread for people to ask questions if they need to. Anyways, the best converter that I could reccomend, HANDS DOWN for any needs whether they be for your phone or not is the SUPERC converter which can be found here

With it you can convert virtually any media type into any other media type. For starters here are some steps...

1. Drag your file to be converted into the que.
2. Double click on it to bring up the detailed info.
3. Select the output you want from the drag down menu at the top left
4. Match up the info for the video and audio (if applicable) to the details you brought up about the clip. Yes this is a bit techy, but its really simple, just read and click on the buttons. If your framerate or bitrate doesnt match up, always pick the lower one. I.E: If you have a framrate of 96, and the options are 108 and 90, always pick the lowest of the two.
5. Just click convert! and wait until it gives you an output file size!

Yes it may seem a bit overwhelming at first, but its great to be able to convert anything into, well, anything. I use it for all my converting needs, and even if your not a techy person, even if you dont know what a bitrate is (shame on you! haha jk) its still a great program which is easy to use, whether you have circuit boards instead of brains or not.

Hope it helps! Any questions please post below, and please no more pm's!

You also failed to mention it has no Linux support. :(. Add that to the title?
haha well I cant edit the title, but should I also add it doesnt support ubuntu? lol Just kidding, majority rule, minority right :)

As far as Iphone stuff goes, I dont have one, and I am fairly unfamiliar with em, but feel free to download it and check out all it can do, if it doesnt fill that niche, it will fill all the rest :)

No, not Ubuntu. I was referring to GNU/Linux as a whole, as in the source code is available to compile for any distribution if pre-compiled packages are not available.

What settings are you using to convert video with super to the droid?

I'm trying to get the best video quality possible. No wide screen bars.

Thanks

I use a 16:9 aspect 320X176 and keep the bit rate about 480kbps. It helps with file size and the quality is decent. You can increase the audio rate or keep it around 64 or 96 kbps. I cant remember the phones ful specs but you can make the video match that. The important thing abut converting with superC is that you is that you keep the aspect ratio the same as the video.

I'm so close to what I want. The video is perfect. The audio is in sync. There is no wasted space. (black bars). The only problem is it is running a little too slow.

How can I speed it up without losing video quality?

My settings where

output container MP4
output video codec mpeg-4
video scale width 854
height 480
Frames per sec: 25
aspect 16:9

bitrate 1248 kbps
Audio bitrate 96

Option: Checked
Hi Quality
Stretch IT
48k

The file I converted was an 8gb 720p Blu Ray of Shaun Of The Dead DTS audio mkv

IT's Overall bit rate was 11.3 Mbps
