Save SMS to Sim Card

Apologies if this is already covered.

On my old Nokia, I could save SMS to the sim card so that I could access on a backup phone if I needed to.

Can you do so with the HTC Desire? Is there an App that will allow me to do this?

not that i know of, but you can back up sms using 'mybackup pro' to your sd card or to the web.

Go into your SMS, long press then save to SIM.

I'm a total newbie to Android and my HTC Desire, but could you explain how I'd do this please?

Go to your messages, find the text you want to save, press it and hold for a couple of seconds (long press) and a menu will pop up, 'Copy to SIM' should be on there, job done!
