Anyone yet find a method of using the wii controller with the Evo. This is a big thing for me as this is my first phone that can actually run video game emulators FAST!

Now I just need a control, and all the ones on the market seem to not work with the Evo.

Who else wants this?

It's not something the Wiimote guys can fix it seems. It's an issue with HTC's bluetooth implementation. He basically can't connect to the Wiimote at all; it's out of his hands.

Well, when I do a BT scan from the phone, it shows the controller but then it prompts me for a password. 0000 and 1234 don't work. *sigh*

I have root, will that help me any??

Unfortunately root in itself does not help, but provides the ability to load custom roms which will help, assuming one comes out free of sense ui.

Anyone flash to froyo and are able to turn on Bluetooth please try the wiimote app and see if it works.

Dear Tucker Stephen,

I understand that you would like more Bluetooth functionality out of your HTC EVO 4G. The HTC EVO 4G contains the same Android Bluetooth Stack as any device running Android 2.1. There have been no modifications to the Bluetooth Stack by HTC. As development improves on the Android Operating system, more Bluetooth functionality will be implemented in the future. I do apologize for any inconvenience that you may have experienced.

Sincerely,

Jeffery
