Speech to Text feature

Hey all,

I am new to the Hero. I just got it a few days ago. I just have a quick question regarding this feature. I am talking about Speech to Text and not Text to Speech. So last night, I starting using Handcent SMS and I did a Speech to Text SMS to my girlfriend. Today, I went to do it and now I forget how to do it. Thanks for the help.

Is this only on handcent? I've upgraded the os but dont see the speak option in gmail which is about the only thing i use...?

If you root your phone you can get a keyboard that allows you to use speech to text anywhere on the phone you use the keyboard. Just a heads up if you are interested.
