Advice on android phones

hi i wanna buy an android based phone in the range of 25-30 indian rupees.i have shortlisted 2 phones-HTC DESIRE,SE XPERIA X10.Please advise me.suggest other good phones also in same price range

I have had an HTC phone (Dident like it) now i have the Xperia X10,
and that i would for sure go for !
It is fast, reliable and does everything in a snap - Best phone i have had !

Touch screen works perfect and responses right away..
So far the Xperia X10 should also be the "Fastest" android out there - only thing that is a - is that you will have to wait a little, to get the update for android 2.2 - sony says it comes in 4Q 2010...

P.s 1 thing i would get (IF you go for the X10) is a TASK MANAGER - so that your able to turn off programs your not using, that runs in the background - it will save you ALOT of battery !!

nah, the desite > X10

The X10 is still stuck with android 1.6, it does not support multi-touch (or even dual touch) and its camera is not exactly outstanding.

The desire on the other hand is very much uptodate, it has pretty much the same specs as the N1.

Now if you can cough up a little more you may want to get the samsung galaxy S due to be released at the end of the month (already available in some places). It's processor is very much outstanding, it can have 8-16 Gb of internal memory, bluetooth 3.0, wireless n and a super AMOLED screen.

but again its your choice.

i heard samsung's very poor when it comes to software updates while HTC is the leader in the smartphone market.please help
