  • Sometimes it takes a while for the MMS to actually start working right.

In the Messages app (or Handcent), open it up, and go Menu > Settings, then see if, under Send MMS settings, you can set the limit lower.

Cricket sometimes doesn't like to send anything over 200k for picture messages. It's weird.
If you're getting them, then sending them definitely should be OK, unless you're using a weird ROM.
Try changing your maximum size as low as you can, then sending a small/cropped/low resolution picture.
For a test, send it in an email to yourself. So instead of picture messaging a number like 7164492881, text YOURNAME@gmail.com and see if it comes through.

Also, sometimes SMS/MMS in general stops working on Cricket for 24 hour periods. It's how it's always been. Their service is not nearly as clean or stable as Verizon, or even Sprint. Sometimes I'd send my (ex) a text, and she'd get it 3 hours later, or not at all. She'd randomly get pix I sent her weeks b4.
