I've seen several threads about this. I'm using Gmail Apps so I can't change to 'Googlemail.com).
I have a Galaxy S with Android 2.1.
It's hard to believe such a basic issue is not resolved yet.

How does the Android operating system avoid that applications will also work on future versions?
