    Hey,
First thing first.. DO NOT use simple root. It is based on android 2.1 Eclair and can cause some serious problems. And second unfortunately your software version is not yet rootable by using unrevoked. There is a work around over at XDA for your software to obtain root however there have been mixed results. I would wait till unrevoked releases an updated version. It shouldn't be too much longer!! Its a bummer for sure!
Hey. I seen where you had provided useful info for some members when they were rooting their evo. I just got my replacement a few days ago its a brand new model and Im having issues rooting it. I made a post about the errors I was getting. Its telling me when I use revoked it was a success but its not rooted. Then I tried simple root and its having a problem getting a file onto the sd card and getting it to recognize it when trying to root. Do you have a simple easy way to root ? Ive enclosed some software info below that may help.
    Thanks
